I am not saying that the amendment is undesirable, but there is a great need for tidying up this area of the law.
The new clause merely tidies up and clarifies matters, providing a stand-alone set of rules to replace the hotch-potch.
Is this the reason for tidying up the procedure?
If we are tidying up, would not the tidest way be to remove the clause altogether?
Surely it would be possible for the roofs to be tidied up without much trouble or expense.
At the same time, opportunity is being taken for a general tidying up of some of the other ancient provisions.
Let us add that on the back, because it tidies it all up.
Does not the provision need a good deal of tidying up?
