I am delighted that the ban on adding ammonia or other addictive products will be maintained at second reading.
Although an outright ban on the adding of ammonia or ammonia compounds would have been preferable.
The result is that broiler chickens suffer from leg disorders and lameness, enlargement of the heart, sudden death syndrome and ammonia burns.
This process needs to be tightly controlled to prevent ammonia being released into the atmosphere.
The problem of ammonia must be solved at local and national level.
So why on earth do we not use this document to ban the use of such a harmful pollutant as ammonia for cleaning our houses?
I would add to this that the effects of ammonia emission are also partly a local phenomenon, and that a lower goal can therefore also be justified.
