From anterior to posterior, the pes anserinus is made up of the tendons of the sartorius, gracilis, and semitendinosus muscles.
These include the subacromial, prepatellar, retrocalcaneal, and pes anserinus bursae.
The pes anserinus is made up from the tendons of the gracilis, semitendinosus, and sartorius muscles; these tendons attach onto the anteromedial proximal tibia.
These three tendons form what is known as the pes anserinus, so named because it looks like the foot of a goose.
