Examples of diplopia

  • Diplopia, commonly referred to as double vision, can result if one of the eye's extrinsic muscles are weaker than the other.

  • Frequently observed symptoms in this disorder are acute para- or quadraparesis, dysphagia, dysarthria, diplopia, loss of consciousness, and other neurological symptoms associated with brainstem damage.

  • Damage to cranial nerves in the cavernous sinus leads to diplopia.
