0 the land surrounding a building that belongs to the owner of the building and for which he or she has responsibility --
A distinction is sought to be made between the curtilage of a building and the curtilage of land covered by a building.
The curtilage requirements and those which relate to gardens will protect substantially isolated dwellings from any right of access to come close to that house.
For example, the right of access does not apply to buildings and their curtilage, to gardens or to parks.
They have tried to go into that curtilage by telling me exactly what to do inside as well as outside.
If you go to the docks, you will find dumps of coal, only very much bigger, within the curtilage of the docks, awaiting transit.
It all depends on whether they are within the same curtilage under the amendment.
The second amendment provides that two or more buildings should not be treated as within a single development unless comprised in the same curtilage.
It is not restricted to the curtilage of the building.
