After a blank folio (f. 37v), twenty-two leaves are missing, indicated by the former pagination.
References are given as page number followed by couplet number, separated by a stroke-the page reference here is to the separate pagination of the poem which begins on 589.
It is hoped that the dual method of pagination may eventually be rendered unnecessary.
The pagination is now known, and the index will be completed very speedily, probably in the course of a day or so.
