The relative lengths of the femora, tibiae, and tarsi of the hind leg are as follows :-46 : 55 :17.
Fore and mid tarsi, reddish brown above, paler below.
The tibiae and tarsi are yellowish but may be blackened, more so in the hind tibiae of the female.
Tarsi short, tapering from near the pseudo-articulation, bearing a small distal spur, and, in some specimens, a slight median protuberance ventrally.
The effect may be due to adsorption of lipid from touch receptors on the tarsi, or to adsorption and inactivation of aggregation pheromone by the dust.
Coxae, trochanters and femora with testaceous suffusion and the black pigmentation of tibiae and tarsi more extensive than in the first stage.
Differing from the male in having the legs decidedly paler; the hind tarsi with the last two segments black, the second and third with the tips only black.
