Examples of sloth

• The hemoflagellates of sloths, vermilinguas (anteaters), and armadillos.

• Big game, including bison, mammoths and ground sloths, also were attracted to these water sources.

• Sloths have very poor eyesight and hearing, and rely almost entirely on their senses of touch and smell to find food.

• Although they are not true ruminants, sloths have three-chambered stomachs.

• Osteoderms are uncommon in mammals, but do occur in many xenarthrans (glyptodonts, armadillos, ground sloths).
