Examples of digoxin

• Our study compared the efficacy and safety of prophylactic treatment with digoxin and amiodarone.

• These infants were all treated with antiarrhythmic drugs, including digoxin and amiodarone.

• The patient developed major respiratory problems with retention of carbon dioxide despite endotracheal intubation and treatment with diuretics and digoxin.

• Routine treatment with digoxin was performed in the majority of the cases, with diuretics in a few of them and with vasodilators in one.

• No fetal response to digoxin was noted at 72 hours, and repeat fetal ultrasonography showed worsening pleural effusions.

• Six of the 7 patients were treated with digoxin and diuretics and eventually were discharged home.
