Examples of chassis

• The chassis design must permit surmounting of obstacles of 0.3 m in height.

• The chassis must also have sufficient clearance between the rover body and the ground (nominally 0.31 m).

• The castor wheels have pure rolling movement during steering, which makes the microrobot chassis keep its pose.

• The chassis of the robot is made of aluminum alloy so as to depress the mechanical friction between bodywork and ground.

• The sensor/actuator interface chassis holds all input/output interface boards.

• The other two gears are connected to the castors through an axis perpendicular to the chassis plane.

• A transverse torsion bar connects left and right chassis assemblies through a differential joint that averages the body posture between each side.
