What property causally explains my perception of redness?
So the preceding argument for the claim that the color red causally explains my perception of redness must be rejected.
This leads us to say, mistakenly, that there is a feeling of redness (say) in our heads all along.
Recently developed, associated with emotional stress (permanent redness of the face not included).
Of course, there is no requirement for opponent process theorists to identify degree of redness, and so on, with values of these particular functions.
In most cases, the redness can be seen at a glance, but in some cases it can be seen only upon close examination.
Realists say it is because they all share the common property (or universal) redness.
Or is redness a sui generis property about which not much can be said?
