That sounds rather shirty to me.
Even if the customer gets a bit shirty sometimes, they still do not spit in his eye.
But not enough are prepared to do it, and, indeed, some, get very shirty if they were asked.
It could not possibly be described as shirty.
We get the most "shirty" answer that it must be done for the sake of the structure.
