The texts of all but two of the antiphons are taken from the same psalms.
There remains, therefore, only one psalm to track down.
To imagine what this psalm might be like, it is useful first to view the general context.
It is not clear whether some psalms have been omitted (109 and 113 are sung).
Six others have verses sung only to a psalm tone, and one omits its verses entirely.
It may be noted that psalm 3 is sung before the invitatory, as prescribed by the monastic use.
Here the precentors are sitting, and they alternate with one another, two together alternately intoning the psalms, very pleasantly and magnificently.
Rather, it must have been performed monophonically in the simple psalm tone of chant.
