The eyes of chestnuts are usually dark brown, while those of a palomino are sometimes a slightly lighter amber.
Visually, the horse may be bay dun, grullo, red dun, palomino dun, amber dun, gray, and so on.
Palomino has a large variety of ethnic minorities and therefore the culture is diverse and very colorful.
Due to their distinct color, palominos stand out in a show ring, and are much sought after as parade horses.
The coat color can be varied; and is seen in chestnut, black, bay, brown, buckskin, palomino, gray, roan or dun.
Regulations prohibit horses with too much white, and buckskin, palomino and cremello horses from being registered.
Recorded examples have been bay, chestnut, palomino, and dun.
Black, greys, chestnut and bay are the most common, but there are also duns and palominos.
