Most residential units are apartment blocks or flats ranging from bedsitters to family sized apartments, garden flats, town houses to luxury penthouses.
As a result, the trust is now replacing high-rise blocks with two-storey housing and garden flats.
At each floor level of the building a generous external living space is provided, ie, garden in garden flats, terrace in maisonettes and patio in roof-level flats.
Each room of the maisonette and garden flats thereby becomes 600mm deeper, an increase in area per flat of 12 per cent.
A new concept (a curtain in the landscape) has been introduced for the glazing of the large windows to the maisonettes and garden flats.
