0 to give too little light to a piece of photographic film when taking a photograph
As a rule, it is advisable to somewhat underexpose in order that the development be regular, progressive, under control.
I photographed it, and the rocks "took" well, but as regards the gnomes, the film was underexposed.
If underexposed it will show no details in its lighter parts and the shadows will be black; and a black shadow is nothing less than a blemish.
