On one occasion we saw three individuals roosting together about 10 m above the ground beneath a disused bird's nest.
The movement between roosts was not uniform each month, but f ollowed a pattern involving two d istinct phases, each lasting several months.
As calls were only audible f rom a range o f about 50-75 m, roosts further away were not found.
In so doing, descriptions of resource location, individual home range and resource use (flower host, roosting place, etc.) were provided.
Ranking roosting structures by durability and protection, we sought correlations among bat species in prevalence, mean intensity and number of associated fly species.
Throughout the diurnal home range, the colony roosted in 20 families of trees (27 genera and 31 species).
The male used six roosts in 9 days, the female two roosts in 5 days.
On four subsequent checks of the site, we did not find any more bats roosting there.
