I should like at this point to put in a plea for the overworked pit pony.
That is not even the price they pay for a pit pony.
A working man can no longer be regarded as worse than a pit pony.
I should point out that a private individual cannot just get a pit pony for the asking.
Surely it does not appear to be a gross misconduct to complain of the suffering of a pit pony.
Let us take it that he was a pony driver, then the pit pony was working 16 hours as well.
A lad, aged 17, a pit pony driver, went back to work.
Have they not heard of technology, or are they so blinkered that they have not noticed the disappearance of the pit pony?
