0 past simple and past participle of command
1 to give someone an order:
[ + to infinitive ] The officer commanded his men to shoot.
[ + that ] He commanded that the troops (should) cross the water.
2 to deserve and get something good, such as attention, respect, or a lot of money:
3 to give a view:
I commanded them to halt.
He can't go round commanding people to do what he says.
Then the robot is commanded to align the surgical tool to the planned surgical tool path and to reach the tumor targets.
In none of these letters is the preacher asked, or commanded, to have a copy of his sermon ready beforehand.
In the first case, the warning is stated and, in the second, appropriate action is commanded because of the named actuality.
