0 a request for someone to return to a place, especially for a job interview:
His job applications netted only three callbacks.
1 a phone call a person makes to someone who has called them earlier:
Callers often forget to leave contact information for a callback.
2 a request by a manufacturer for a product to be returned because something is wrong with it:
3 a request by a company for an employee who has lost their job with the company to return to work:
4 a request by an employer for an employee to return to work after their usual working hours, especially to deal with an emergency:
The callback mode can deal with unbounded documents in streaming mode.
The provider is responsible for administering its callback list which is used to address consumers, and consumers have to register at specific providers.
Otherwise, if a consumer simply does not care about the outcome of a request, the interaction belongs to the callback model of cooperation (see below).
In any case, a sophisticated implementation of callback-handlers in terms of adaptability leads to the event-based approach, described in the next section.
If multiple callback providers are of interest, a consumer must register separately for all of them.
On the other hand, callback processing can be customised with this knowledge so that only subsets of consumers are notified in an application-dependent way.
I also agree that callback is an essential part of that right of scrutiny.
The money is needed to improve the callback facilities now on computer in most cases.
